My yarns begin with visits to fiber growers throughout New England and Upstate New York. The gentle care and environmentally sound practices of these small farms radiate through the soft and lustrous fleeces I select to be part of my yarns. The wool then makes its way to the spinning Mill to be washed, carded and spun into beautiful two ply yarn at a fingering weight and a worsted weight. When the finished yarn is in my hands, the dyeing begins. Color is a passion of mine. I practice traditional methods to extract color from the natural dyestuffs which I grow in my garden and forage.
